Crisis, conflict, burnout, transition, unfulfillment, organizational dysfunction, power struggles, loss of vision, fear, alienation, confusion, and disillusionment are increasingly experienced by those engaged in professional ministry. Many pastors, missionaries and Christian leaders have become the “forgotten people” of the church whose needs are not heeded or addressed. Studies have shown that 50% of all men and women leave the pastoral ministry in the first five years. Many missionaries do not return after their first term.

How can we reverse this trend of “ministry fatalities”? Where can these precious ministers turn when problems arise in their personal lives and ministries? Who can understand their challenges, hurts, and needs? Where can they receive support, healing, and renewal? Where can church leaders turn for professional assistance in resolving issues? Minnesota Renewal Center exists in order to minister to this need.
