Spiritual Direction
Spiritual direction encourages a person to explore a closer relationship with God. It is a practice rooted in the Christian tradition. In the midst of a busy life, it is often difficult to notice God's action. Yet, at the deepest level, we all long for a more conscious experience of God's presence and love.

Spiritual direction is a process of asking the question, "Where is God in my life?" It is a process of listening to the Holy Spirit with the help of another person who invites one to focus on the experience of God. Any aspect of life can be brought into a spiritual direction relationship, including:

- Questions of faith and values
- Prayer
- Relationships
- Joys and sorrows
- Fears
- Life transitions
- Major decisions

A spiritual director is one who is prepared through training, experience and spiritual formation to help another attend to his or her spiritual life. Rather than a counselor or advisor, a director is a listener and a guide who can help a person notice, discern and respond to God's invitation. The privilege and responsibility of a spiritual director is to journey with you as you deepen your relationship with God. This takes place in the context of confidential sessions, either in groups or one-on-one.
